Fleet vehicle tracking

Starting with a live action footage sequence showcasing pain points for companies with fleets of drivers, this video immediately speaks to the needs of the product’s audience. Stylized motion graphics play a big role in this video, both by making the concepts interesting as well as by showcasing the software. Screen recordings of the software in action are incorporated alongside quick demonstrations of the app version of the software. The combined effect of these approaches is a video that captures the audience’s attention quickly and carries it through to the end of the company message.

Content Watermarking

One of the main challenges for producing this video was highlighting the concept of digital verification of media authenticity in a way that is easy to understand and quick to communicate. We achieved this using a combination of stylized motion graphics and new branding, introducing the “Verified Authentic” watermark as well as the “Unique Verified Record” concept. Ultimately, the client was very happy with the result and even requested the base graphics from the animation sequences to use in other marketing materials.

Extreme product testing - HALT methodology

Shot in a military testing facility, this video shows the extreme range of tests that Geoforce devices are subjected to prior to market approval. Highlight footage includes a liquid nitrogen freeze chamber, large diameter subwoofer extreme vibration testing, drop testing, and salt and fog testing. Combining footage of the devices in the testing facilities with live action footage of the environments they are actually used in serves to show viewers that Geoforce products are truly up to the task. The combination of these techniques establishes credibility with the audience that Geoforce products really can go anywhere in the world and function in any extreme environment.

CyberHUD

Enterprise cyber security software

This video was designed to explain the problem with having multiple sources of security data for one organization, and the value that CyberHUD brings in consolidating it into a single source of truth for cyber security professionals. Additionally, it showcases the software in an aesthetically engaging manner. By combining stylized motion graphics with screen recordings of the software in action, this video serves the dual purpose of exciting the viewer about the software while simultaneously familiarizing them with the mechanics of how the program works.

Military asset tracking

This video showcases another application for the Watchtower program. By highlighting a military operation scene with live action footage, it effectively conveys the importance of accurate information access in military operations. In the middle of the video, a demo highlights section plays with ties to live action footage, giving the viewer a real sense for the impact and importance of the program. Overall, the approach here is to show the importance of seeing the big picture for operations personnel. To that end, advanced stylized motion graphics both showcase the product and keep the viewer engaged in the video.

Fleet vehicle driver safety

This video is part of a driver safety campaign that utilizes a single, powerful message instead of a narration. The message “someone’s waiting for them to come home” followed by “protect the drivers in your life” combined with footage of dogs looking out the window waiting for their owners to come home pulls at the viewer’s heartstrings. The final message “give them the tools to get home safe” along with a driver getting home and playing with her puppy brings the rapid emotional journey full circle, and ties the StriveSafe brand name to the feeling of relief the viewer gets when the driver arrives home safe.

Tough tracking 15 second ad

This fast-paced ad quickly conveys the biggest pain points for the construction industry, and highlights the rugged and durable nature of Geoforce tracking devices. A combination of live-action footage, advanced 3D ray-traced animation and stylized motion graphics make it visually captivating and keep the viewer’s mind guessing rapidly as to what type of content will show up next. This video is a synthesis of the longer Construction Operations Tracking video commissioned by Geoforce.

This video starts with highly engaging audience-specific drone footage and a quick pain point explanation to hook the viewer. Advanced 3D animations further demonstrate the need for advanced asset tracking solutions in the construction industry. With a futuristic city animation at the end, this video serves to both tie the Geoforce brand to the need for asset tracking and associate the brand with an exciting vision of the future. The combination of all of these elements leads to a highly compelling case for using Geoforce products in construction asset tracking use cases.

SmartCAMA

Property assessment tool

This video starts with a unique dual overlay, showing the big picture of property assessment both in terms of the overall scope as well as the backend logistical side of things. The main challenge here was to showcase the software and visually tie the SmartCAMA name to the idea of cloud computing being more secure than traditional manual assessment processes. Product demonstration screen recordings overlaid onto a computer mockup serve to highlight exactly how users will benefit from adopting SmartCAMA into their property assessment workflows.

Why I love working at Geoforce

The biggest challenge with creating this recruiting video for Geoforce was to help people who aren’t comfortable on camera feel at ease answering questions while they’re being recorded. To create a natural feel, I helped interviewees feel more at ease by giving them a few silly questions to start. I also edited the footage in such a way that b-roll plays over any part where it was necessary to cut the interview footage abruptly. Incorporating footage of the office and teams at work give the viewer a true sense for what it’s like to work at Geoforce. This entire approach really captures the energy of the corporate culture.

Company culture

As the second in a series of three company-focus videos, this one focuses primarily on the employees’ experience of the culture and the atmosphere working at Geoforce. Footage of employees taking a break to play ping pong, company lunches and general office footage serve to bring the viewer in and drive the points home that the interviewees make. One of the biggest challenges with this video was to cut it from a single session of shooting as part of a three video series highlighting what it’s like to work at Geoforce and be part of the team.

Core values

The third in a three part video series all shot in the same session, this video focuses specifically on what the team at Geoforce stands for. My main focus while interviewing using values-focused questions was to capture the viewpoints of a number of people in different parts of the organization, from the highest levels of the executive teams down to the customer-facing teams. B-roll footage of an awards and certificates shelf, along with footage of their framed core values poster emphasize the points being made in the video while keeping it visually interesting and engaging.

This video highlights what Geoforce does in a cohesive story about a specific customer and their use case. Footage of their equipment yard as well as drone footage of one of the Geoforce tracking devices installed on a piece of equipment changing locations shows the viewer exactly how these devices show up in the field and why they are so important. Motion graphics and overlays serve to show further installation scenarios and showcases some of the measurable improvements that this customer has seen using the Geoforce tracking solutions.

This video explains Crossbeam Capital’s business model as well as explores some of their unique competitive advantages, such as expertise with modular building techniques. Drone footage of modular projects being built establishes credibility with the viewer, and interview footage with the team’s executive leadership shows a wide range of skill and deep commitment to the customer. The specific answers from the interviewees that are included in this video serve to show why Crossbeam’s approach is so revolutionary, and why it gives them such a huge competitive advantage in the market.

This video captures the market need for attainable housing in mountain communities. By balancing the perspectives of three executive team members with completed project footage as well as drone footage of modular units being installed, this video effectively highlights the importance of development funds in bringing affordable housing units to underserved mountain communities. Varying stages of completion in the drone shots and b-roll keeps the video interesting, while still retaining the overall focus conceptually of the story as a whole.

How modular buildings work

Starting with a visually captivating modular building exploded view animation, this video explores exactly how modular building techniques work. A second exploded view of a single modular unit serves to keep the viewer’s attention, while the narration explains the nature of factory-build modular units. Live action footage of the modular factories enhances the idea that there is an important focus placed on quality in these building environments, which is a traditionally challenging message for modular builders to convey effectively.

How fleet tracking works and why it matters

This video focuses on exploring the mechanics of fleet tracking while also tying the importance of fleet tracking to a human impact story. Emergency accident response footage along with a sobering statistic about vehicle fatalities start the video with an emotional connection for the viewer. Incorporating a series of motion graphic statistics serves to further enforce the importance of telematics systems, and informs the viewer more specifically about exactly how much of a difference installing a telematics system in a fleet of vehicles can make.

Extreme environment tracking

This video takes the viewer on a journey to demonstrate a specific extreme environment use case that its products functions well in — deep sea operations. The video starts with a series of pain points that any deep sea operator would relate to, and then introduces Geoforce’s rugged GT1 asset tracker as a solution to those pain points. A visually engaging animation of Geoforce products located in different parts of the globe serves to keep viewers interested, and a screen recording at the end introduces viewers to the tracking platform itself.

Enterprise software code visualization

Connote is a massively sophisticated program that allows engineers to visually map out segments of code to see where individual blocks of code show up in different areas of enterprise software. One of the biggest challenges with this video was to balance the need to keep things visually exciting with the need to show the platform itself in action. We did this by by incorporating a variety of stock clips and motion graphics animations, and carefully balancing them with screen recordings of the software in action. This ultimately keeps the viewer engaged with the video due to visual variety and also gives the viewer a good sense for what the program itself looks like.
